SNAP News
Hello everyone, and Happy New Year! We hope you had as much fun as we did at our SNAP events in 2025. We have some great events planned for 2026, such as an adult Easter egg hunt, a Roller Skating event and of course, our regular dinner dances. In addition to our SNAP events, we overwhelmingly received input from our members to schedule another Culver's fundraiser once again in the Spring. We will also have a Bingo fundraiser to be sponsored by Ten Penny restaurant on 26 January at 7pm. Bingo will have a suggested donation of $5 per card or $20 for all five cards. This is a CASH only event. We will need at least 15 items to be donated as prizes for the Bingo winners. Please contact Jeff Myers at 913-406-1722 to coordinate drop off of any prize donations, OR show up a bit early at Ten Penny to donate any prizes. Please get the word out in our community about this event, the more participants we have, the more funds SNAP will raise.
Note: Some of our events still require coordination of the event Date, Time and Location, please be patient as we work through this, and we will get you the information as soon as possible.
We are always looking for sponsors and volunteers to help with events by volunteering their time or financially sponsoring an event. Please share our organization with all your business friends. Thank you for your continued support!
UPCOMING EVENTS
January: No SNAP Event, but we will have a Bingo Fundraiser on 26 Jan, 7pm at Ten Penny. Doors Open at 6:15 PM (Come early to purchase your bingo cards!)

February: Date: 27th, Time: 6pm to 8pm: Valentine Dance at Riverfront Community Center. Pizza & Chicken nuggets will be served, Jennifer and Julie volunteered to bring salad. Feel free to bring a desert to share.
March: No Event
April: Adult Easter Egg Hunt. Date, Time, and Location: To be determined, Check Facebook events. Prior to this event, we will ask for volunteers to fill Easter eggs and bring candy and small items to fill plastic eggs.
May: Spring Dinner & Dance at Riverfront Community Center. Date: To be determined Check Facebook events, Time: 6pm to 8pm
June: Roller Skating: Date, Time & Location: To be determined, Check Facebook events.
July and August: FREE Swim at Wollman Pool, 11:00–12:30
September: Football watch party. Date, Time & Location: To be determined. Check Facebook events. September is also Donation/Membership renewal time.
October: Fall Dinner Dance. Date: 24th, Time: 6pm to 8pm: at Riverfront Community Center.
November: Movie, Date, Time & Location: To be determined Check Facebook events.
December: Holiday Dinner Dance, Date: 5th, Time: 6pm to 8pm: Location: Will be Riverfront Community Center, Holiday themed and also our Annual SNAP Meeting.
