SNAP News
Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful Summer. It was so great to see everyone at our July Swim. Our next event is also a Swim on 15 Aug.
Our Culvers fundraiser was a great success because of all of you! You all did a GREAT job and help raise $473 dollars! The Savers fundraiser was also a huge success which raised $540 dollars. THANK YOU for everyone's hard work! We have used some of our funds to purchase SNAP T-Shirts for our members and they will be handed out this year. Some of you already have a SNAP shirt, so please don't take a second one. Please contact Jeff Myers at 913-406-1722 for questions and concerns.
Note: Some of our events still require coordination of the event Date, time, and location. Please be patient as we work through this, and we will get you the information as soon as possible.
We are always looking for sponsors and volunteers to help with events by volunteering their time or financially sponsoring an event. We are also in need of someone with experience in applying for Grants. If this is something you would like to help us with, please contact Jeff Myers. Please share our organization with all your business friends. Thank you for your continued support! I want to update our member list with names, addresses and Birthdays. Lastly, We are dreaming BIG because we want our own place for our members to hang out. This is in the very early stages of fundraising and planning. More to come!
UPCOMING EVENTS
15 August at 11 AM: SNAP Swim at Wollman Pool 11:00 - 12:30 I will be out front with a pool pass card to pay.
September: Football watch party. Sep 27th at 12:00 PM Location: Riverside Resources September is also the time for donation/membership renewals.
October: Fall Dinner Dance. Date: 24th, Time: 6pm to 8pm: at Riverfront Community Center. Spaghetti Red and White Sauce Dinner, Houses are bringing desserts and garlic bread. Feel free to come in costume to our SPOOKY HAUNTED DINER!
November: Movie, Date, Time & Location: To be determined Check Facebook events.
December: Holiday Dinner Dance, Date: 5th, Time: 6pm to 8pm: Location: Will be Riverfront Community Center, Holiday themed and also our Annual SNAP Meeting. Maybe the Big Guy in the Red Suite will be there!
ADVANCE REMINDER: MARCH 2027 Will be a joint effort with Riverside Resources and SNAP to host our first ever PROM on 26 MARCH 2027!
